How to Use a carVertical Voucher Code (KALOGB) at Checkout

To use a carVertical voucher code, go to carvertical.com/gb, choose one, two or three reports, then at checkout click "Add voucher code", type KALOGB and press "Apply". The order total should drop by 20%, for example from £39.99 to £31.99 for a single report. You must add the code before you pay, because it can't be applied to an order afterwards.

How to enter a carVertical voucher code: step by step

1. Open the UK store

Go to carvertical.com/gb. Check the prices are in pounds. Codes are set up for a particular country's store, so a UK code belongs on the /gb/ site.

2. Choose your reports

You can start by entering the car's number plate (reg) or VIN on the home page, or go straight to the Pricing page and buy report credits to use later. Either way, pick one, two or three reports. Bundled reports aren't tied to a car until you use them and stay valid for six months from purchase.

3. Add the voucher code at checkout

On the checkout page:

1. Click "Add voucher code".
2. In the "Voucher code" box, type KALOGB.
3. Click "Apply".

You can type the code by hand. You don't need to arrive through a special link for it to work.

4. Check the discount has applied

Before paying, look for two things:

• a confirmation message saying the coupon has been applied to your order
• an "Extra discount" line in the order details, with the total reduced by 20%

The total should read £31.99 for one report, £41.58 for two or £50.38 for three. If it still shows £39.99, £51.98 or £62.97, the code hasn't gone through. See the troubleshooting section below.

5. Pay and use your report

You'll be asked for your email address and to confirm your reason for checking the car (carVertical only sells reports to people with a genuine connection to the vehicle, such as a prospective buyer). Then pay. Card payment is the standard UK option, and any other available methods are shown at checkout. The reports appear in your account. To generate one, enter the reg or VIN of the car you want to check. The report is usually ready within a few minutes.

A link such as carvertical.com/gb/pricing?voucher=kalogb opens the UK pricing page with the code pre-filled, and carVertical may show a banner saying the extra discount will be applied automatically. Typing the code by hand works just as well. Either way, check the "Extra discount" line before you pay.

carVertical discount code not working? Fixes that usually help

If you see the message "Unfortunately, the coupon code is incorrect or no longer valid", or the total hasn't changed, work through this list.

Check the spelling

Type it again: K-A-L-O-G-B. The fourth character is the letter O, not a zero. Remove any space before or after the code, especially if you pasted it.

Make sure you're on the UK store

carVertical runs separate stores for different countries, and codes are market-specific. KALOGB works on carvertical.com/gb. If the page shows prices in euros or another currency, you're on a different country's site. Switch to the /gb/ address and start the checkout again.

One code per order

The checkout has a single voucher field, so an order can only carry one code. If you arrived through someone else's link and their code was applied automatically, that's the one on your order. Decide which code you want and make sure it's the one shown before you pay.

You've already paid

carVertical's terms are clear: a discount code has to be entered at the time of purchase, and if it isn't, it won't be applied to that order. There's no way to add it retrospectively.

If you bought unused reports at full price in the last 14 days, the terms allow you to cancel unused reports for a refund by emailing carVertical with your order number, purchase date and contact details. You could then buy again with the code. Reports you've already generated can't be cancelled.

The price has changed

If the checkout tells you the price has changed, refresh the page to get a new quote, then re-enter the code. The price shown at checkout before you pay is the one that applies.

The code has a limit you didn't expect

carVertical sets its own rules for each code, including expiry dates and limits. Some codes only work on single reports or on a set number of reports, and the checkout will tell you if you've hit one of those limits. KALOGB applies to the single report and both bundles. If it's rejected on the UK store after you've checked the spelling, contact carVertical support before you pay full price.

A general browser glitch

Refresh the page, try a private window, or use another browser or device. If the voucher field doesn't appear at all, make sure you've reached the checkout page rather than the pricing summary.

How much should a carVertical discount be?

20% is the normal level for carVertical partner codes in the UK, and it's what KALOGB gives you. Other creators and partners, including YouTubers, have their own carVertical codes, usually also around 20% and tied to a particular country's store. Any of them is a reasonable choice if it works on the UK site.

If you see a code promising 30%, 40% or 50% off on a coupon listing site, it's usually not a real current code. Those sites often carry expired or unverified codes. The quickest test is the checkout itself: a genuine code shows a confirmation and a reduced total before you pay.

After you've bought: making the most of your credits

• Six months to use them. Unused reports are valid for six months from the date of purchase, then they're removed.
• Empty reports come back. If a report has no historical data, typically in the Odometer, Damage and Timeline sections, carVertical adds an unused report back to your account automatically.
• Problems with a report. If a report has errors or you didn't receive it, you can request a return within 30 days of generating it by emailing support with the VIN, purchase date and a short explanation.

Before you spend the code: do the free checks

A discount is only worth using on a car that deserves a closer look. Before you buy any report, work through our free car check guide or at least:

• Run the GOV.UK MOT history check (gov.uk/check-mot-history). It's free and shows every MOT result for cars tested in Great Britain since 2005, with the recorded mileage at each test.
• Use the DVLA vehicle enquiry to confirm the tax status, MOT expiry and first registration date match the advert.
• Ask to see the V5C logbook. GOV.UK advises checking it has a "DVL" watermark and that the VIN and engine number match the car.
